Built around the BlackBerry formula that long defined the brand, the Blackberry Classic combines a compact touchscreen with a physical QWERTY keyboard, an optical trackpad and the familiar call, menu, back and end keys. Its 3.5-inch LCD display has a sharp 720 x 720 resolution at 294 ppi and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3, giving the phone a dense square screen that suits messaging, email and other productivity-focused tasks. Inside, it runs BlackBerry 10.3.1 on a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, plus microSD expansion up to 128 GB. The camera setup includes an 8 MP rear camera with flash, a 2 MP front camera and 1080p video capture. Connectivity covers 4G LTE and HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and GPS, with a nano-SIM slot for cellular service. A 2515 mAh battery supports solid endurance for a device of this size, while the bar-style body remains relatively slim at 10.2 mm. At 178 g and 131 x 72.4 mm, the Blackberry Classic keeps the dense, sturdy feel that set BlackBerry handsets apart.
